IIAB Season 14 Episode 13 – A Quiet Place, Lost In Space, Killing Eve

While Mike was the only one alive to see the original as it came out, the gang launch into Lost In Space with gusto, wondering if the show can recapture the spirit of the original and if that was a good thing . Remember how much we talked about Ryan Gosling silent pauses? What if that was the idea of the whole film? A Quiet Place forces us to look at our appreciation of silence once more. What if Christina Yang left Seattle Grace for another hospital, only it wasn’t a hospital it was a security firm? Interested? No, neither were we, but because we care about our fans we reviewed it anyway and what we found might just be a little surprising….

IIAB Season 14 Episode 11 – Krypton, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Blockers

After a week’s break we dive headfirst into the oceanic slobberknocker between giant monsters and giant robots, the kind of fight where nobody loses, except possibly the fans, and definitely Tokyo; Pacific Rim: Uprising! It turns out that Derry Girls and Krypton have an actor in common as we review this YA offering focused on Superman’s Grandad. Lastly we see what happens when John Cena decides no daughter of his gets to have sex in comedy Blockers. Also, Mike and Steve watch things in foreign languages and force Mark to hear about them.

IIAB Season 14 Episode 10 – Hitlers Circle of Evil, Collateral, Tomb Raider

Okay rest assured people, Mike is back so the hotly contested Madeline McCann debate can resume! Other topics up for debate this week is whether the rise of feminism helped or hurt the latest Tomb Raider movie. No objectification here people, as Mark is all over it. Steve seems to want to smash the patriarchy also, though there is a general confusion on how that affects men’s abs. Mark wrestles with the eternal question – Brad Pitt or Will Smith, settling this time with World War Z, though the struggle continues. We decided if Hitler’s Circle of Evil is the new rallying cry for the Reich and wind up trying to figure out why Tom Cruise is not in new TV show collateral.
