Season 5 Episode 1

Season05Episode01PosterIs Zachary Quinto a nice guy in person? Do we miss the days of intermissions in the cinema? Is there anything Jennifer Lawrence can not do better than Shaun? All this and more awaits in the inaugural episode of SEASON FIVE!!!

Our first movie of the season is Pacific Rim, which coincides with our first Shocked And Appalled, as the chocolate robot and the scaly starfish collide. The World’s End sees the Hot Fuzz crew on the piss and provokes Shaun into an ill-considered criticism of Mike’s movie purity laws. In TV, Mark comes to realize that he should have listened to Steve months ago and watched The Bridge, before The Bridge came out. There is a minor scuffle as Comic-Con infiltrates the conversation despite prior warning. Mark sets out his stall as the Holy Grail for TV executives; the possessor of the Mainstream Gene. Only he has the power to disregard everything his senses are telling him and press Series-Link for our last offering of the week, Under The Dome, a tale of people with secrets, trapped in a town where no-one can hear you care.
