Season 13 Episode 01

This week, Steve shows up Mike and Shona who haven’t done their homework. Instead, the gang chat about everything they’re watching this week. Opinions are thrown in for good measure on credible tv pursuits like Mayweather v Mcgregor and a spoiler-free Game of Thrones discussion, to the less credible – hate-watching Fifty Shades of Grey and Celebs Go Dating. Steve, ever the professional, gives us his reviews of new tv remake Get Shorty starring Ireland’s favourite dufus, Chris O’Dowd. In Astronauts: Do You Have What It Takes, we see a bunch of overachievers get their own show. Charlize Theron is more Mission: Impossible than Kill Bill in Atomic Blonde.

Season 4 Episode 4

Shaun’s brief stint as “Supportive Shaun” was worn away by the gangs unending cynicism this week and he was ready with some cutting quips from his rapier reportoire! You might think a rapier is something Mike would use, but probably best not to dwell. The Bicycle team discuss Arnie’s return to starring roles in The Last Stand and Oscar nomm’ed Zero Dark Thirty. TV reviews feature Tosh.0 and Spies of Warsaw, two more contrasting shows you would do hard to find – something for everyone this week!

Season 4 Episode 3

Cette semaine, en premièrement, c’est Les Miserables . Les autres aiment des comédies musicales, moi, je m’en branle. Mais si l’on sait que les autres sont des descendants des clochards, il est logique qu’ils aiment putes dans des cercueils. Also in movies, we look at Django and fail to find offence. Although we do find offence elsewhere, lots of it. This time it’s Shaun that goes too far, but he exposes his inner soul as a kind, supportive friend and, sensing prey, they others pounce. He takes it, Jesus-like, until the horrific revelation of Jennifer Fridays. In TV, we review the new Channel 4 drama, Utopia, and Mark uncovers the link between this podcast and the A-Team. Our last consideration is The Following, where a stellar cast endeavour to out-act a bad script. All the while, Steve tries to pay off his mortgage early and hopes we don’t notice the sparkling new Aston Martin in his driveway.
